Skincare can be daunting and confusing and this is due to the huge amount of skincare products available. This is one of the main reasons men don't have skincare routines, they don't want to devote the time to learn about them. Also, some men may not care about a skincare routine, however, they should.

A good skincare routine is a powerful tool to combat some of the issues we tend to face such as acne, wrinkles, and sun damage. You don't want people to say "are you getting enough sleep?" you want them to say "wow, your skin looks amazing!"

Effective skin care requires a little more effort than just washing your face with whatever soap is in your bathroom. Skincare is a long-term commitment, and consistency is key. It may take some time to find the right products to suit your skin, but it will be worth it.

The best skincare routine for men

Step 1: Cleanser

Soap is not cleansing your skin, it is disrupting your skins protective barrier and stripping away all the good oils that keep it moisturised. Use a specific facial cleanser that contains active ingredients, and use it twice a day. (depending on your skin type)

Step 2: Eye Cream

This is something everybody should have in their kit. It is the most simple tool that can fix a number of problems. The main under-eye issues; puffy eyes, dark circles and fine lines and wrinkles. The skin around the eye is thinner than on the rest of the face, so it needs a higher percentage of concentrated ingredients.

Tip: What you can do is look for an SPF with skin hydrating ingredients and that way you can use it in addition to your moisturiser. 

A four-step skincare routine

Some guys care about skincare and some guys don't and that's ok. But we have kept this routine as simple as possible for you to pick it up whenever you want. The key things to remember are; always wear an SPF and use eye cream daily.
