The results are in! Now in its eleventh annual year, the Free From Skincare Awards experts announced their decisions on who takes home awards on July 19th in Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Poko is delighted to reveal their bestselling Brightening Rosewater Toner has won two impressive awards! The competitive natural toner won a Silver Medal in the ‘Toners, Waters, and Spritzers’ category and has scooped up an additional Bronze Medal in the ‘Free from Achievement’. Not forgetting the brand’s other worthy nominations of the Soothing Serum in ’Face Care (Leave on)' category and the Hempsoriasis Balm in ‘Problem Skin’ category.
Experts have their say
June has come and gone, where industry experts such as beauty writers, brand owners, and cosmetic experts had their say and tested a variety of contender’s products to weigh up who is the best natural choice. Poko’s position with the awards say a lot about the brand. They are leaders at creating natural alternatives to those with specific skincare needs and wants while being free from parabens, sulphates, and vegan & cruelty free.
Before making the final judgement, the experts collected feedback and compared their experiences using the products in a highly competitive category as Poko faced others such as INIKA Organic and Eco By Sonya Driver.
Justine, Poko’s co-founder proudly shares, “I’m proud to have achieved this award on our first ever attempt at entering. The entire Poko range means a lot to me because I formulated it with my own skin issues in mind, including all the natural ingredients I love, and I feel Poko proves natural ingredients really do work to improve people’s skin and I believe it is the future of skincare.”
We’re winners! Poko’s Brightening Rosewater Toner
The feedback received is of amazing value to the Irish company where the Free From Awards testers shared their detailed experience of using the products. Poko can share this feedback with their skincare community and beyond to grow further in the industry. And, as winners, you can only imagine the feedback is pretty good. (unbiased opinion)
One testimonial reads that the toner, “Feels light and gentle on my face and skin felt so much fresher after use. I always felt my skin was clean after cleansing, however using this toner has made me realise that there are still traces of make-up left and this extra skincare step is definitely worth doing. The toner primes my skin, helping it to absorb my serum and moisturiser more effectively. I found after a few days I was needing to use less moisturiser and my skin seems more hydrated.”
Poko prides itself on helping people through tough times with their skin, ultimately supporting irritated skin, hormonal acne, and overall problem skin. Hearing that their toner has been received well to do exactly that is a big *high five* moment, “My skin not only looks more radiant but feels more hydrated too: there is a luminosity that wasn’t there and my face looks really healthy. The pores on my forehead seem less visible. Being peri-menopausal I am starting to get hot flushes and I found this toner to be great at refreshing my face and calming the redness.”
From having partnered with qualified pharmacist Jess Redden and rugby legend Rob Kearney just under a year ago, having a feature on Ireland AM and receiving award after award – the brand can only keep going! A quick glance on pokobeauty.com homepage will give you a little insight into Poko’s full list of awards under their belt.
“We have an amazing calendar of plans for the foreseeable future, with new launches underway. Poko is focused on helping people achieve their skincare goals on the surface and from within so watch this space!”, says an alluding Justine.
